A 28 year old gentleman presented with complaints of Left lower swelling since 4 days extending up to upper thigh. It is associated with bursting type of pain on walking, hence unable to walk. Has smoking / alcohol abuse. No other comorbidities
On examination gross swelling with redness in the legs. Outside doppler suggested of Left common femoral vein DVT (Deep venous thrombosis).

CT Venogram test performed - It showed extension of thrombus into common Iliac vein and IVC. Also he had Pulmonary embolism in the left lower sub segmental artery.

Procedure performed -
Day 1 - IVC filter insertion + Catheter directed thrombolysis using thrombolytic agent

Day 2 - Check Venogram + Aspiration of acute clots + Venoplasty (using a balloon)

FInally, Patient started walking the next day. He was discharged the third day, walking.
